EdLeader Podcast - Influential Leadership with Colonel Todd Ferry

In this episode of EdLeader, Dr. Jackson sits down with Marine Corps Colonel Todd Ferry, Deputy Commander of Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST) to discuss how leadership is influence regardless of the setting. Charged with helping to lead the efforts to maintain readiness at six Marine Corps Bases following the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic on the East Coast, Colonel Ferry and his team never stopped learning and improving in their steps to keep the bases open and Essential Personnel available. At the same time, as a Dad, Colonel Ferry is supporting his six children in their online education with three children in college and three in the Craven County Public School System.

Colonel Todd Ferry was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy in 1992. He was designated as a Naval Aviator in 1994 and was selected to fly the CH-46E Sea Knight. He served in all three active Marine Aircraft Wings including assignments with both the “Black Knights,” the “White Knights,” the “Flying Tigers” and commanded the “Knightriders” of Marine Medium Helicopter Training Squadron 164. He assumed the duties as the Deputy Commander, MCIEAST in August 2019 after serving as the Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.
